Igor Radojičić is the former President of the People's Assembly of Republika Srpska, an entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and following the death of President Milan Jelić, was acting President of Republika Srpska from October 1, 2007 to 28 December 2007. He is now the candidate by the ruling Bosnian Serb Alliance of Independent Social Democrats SNSD party for the post of Mayor of Banja Luka, the capital of the Republika Srpska at the forthcoming local elections in October 2016.
Radojičić, born in Banja Luka in 1966, holds an M.Sc. degree in electrical engineering and has published numerous works on the subject.
In the late 1980s, Radojičić was a member of the leadership of the Association of Socialist Youth of Bosnia and Herzegovina and SNSD Secretary General, He was elected to the People's Assembly at the 1998 elections, and has held the office of Chairman of the National Assembly since the 2006 elections. He will hold the office until presidential elections are held later in 2007.
Radojičić is married and father of two.
