Shlomo Mofaz is a retired Colonel (2005) from the Israeli Defense Forces – IDF, with more than 25 years of experience as an Intelligence officer. His experience includes practical and operative experience in Intelligence and Counter Terrorism, Research and Analysis, Risk and Threat Assessment. Mr. Mofaz provides strategic consulting to countries and organizations in the fields of National Security, HLS, Intelligence and Counter Terrorism, including integrated solutions and technology.
Mr. Mofaz is a research fellow in the ICT (International Institute for Counter-Terrorism – Herzliya, Israel).
Education:
· Doctoral studies, Bar-Ilan University.
· MA in Political Science (with distinction) University of Haifa.
· BA in History of the Middle East (with distinction), Tel -Aviv University.
· Graduate of the Israeli National Security College.
Last positions in the IDF:
· Deputy Head of the Directorate of Military Intelligences (DMI) Research Division.
· Representative of the DMI in the United States.
· Head of the Counter Terrorism Department in the DMI.
Main Activities in the last years:
- Lecturer, seminar and workshop leader in the subjects of Intelligence, Counter Terrorism, Threat and Risk Assessment.
- Consulting and preparing a strategic plan for a foreign country in the field of national security and HLS.
- Preparing National Threat assessment for few countries in the Middle East, Africa and South America as a base for security solutions in the national level.
- Co-founder and CEO of an Intelligence systems company providing Intelligence services in the fields of security and public safety in various languages.
- Managing three startup companies that specializes in operational intelligence and security solutions.
