Sava Savić

Sava Savić, born in 1978 in Kruševac, Serbia, is a Deputy Minister in the Ministry of trade, tourism and telecommunication. He holds a degree in electrical engineering from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Belgrade, with a specialization in electronics.

During his professional career, he has predominantly focused on using information technology in public administration. From 2009-2012 he was a project manager for IT procurements in the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs in cooperation with the World Bank. In the subsequent two years he was the Deputy Director in the Directorate for Digital Agenda with the focus on planning, organizing and implementing IT projects financed by the EU funds. In addition, he was involved with the reform of the public administration through application of information technologies.

In the last two years as a Deputy Minister, Mr. Savić supervised digitalization processes of TV signal in Serbia and development of new services on government Euprava portal. His duties include international cooperation as well as dvelopment of plans in the information technology area. He is a president of the working group for creating new law on information security.

He has attended numerous educational programs and seminars, predominantly on the issue of public procurement, preparation and impelmentation of IPA IV projects as well as modern project managment.

He is fluent in English.
