Dr Craig Paterson

Dr. Paterson currently serves on the Advisory Council and the Academic Council of the International Pestalozzi Society, a Swiss based NGO with an international mission focused on children’s education. He was born in Glasgow, United Kingdom in 1965. He was educated at universities in Scotland, England and the United States of America. He holds an LLB law degree with distinction from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland, an MA degree in philosophy for the University of York, England and a PhD degree in Ethics from Saint Louis University, Missouri, USA.

He is currently an independent consultant as Paterson Consulting and Honorary Research Professor with the Concilium Research Group, Complutense University of Madrid, Spain. He has previously held university teaching appointments at Saint Louis University, Missouri, USA and Providence College, Rhode Island, USA.

He was recently granted the Pestalozzi Society’s Cross of Honor to acknowledge his contribution to the work of the charity. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine in the UK. He is a fellow of several other learned societies. He has published two books in philosophy and medical ethics. He is the author of several distinguished articles in medical ethics in peer reviewed journals.
