Ljubisa Acimovic

Ljubiša Aćimović, computer design expert and student leader, a senior student at the Faculty of Political Sciences of the University of Banja Luka, is one of the founders and the president of the Students' Club of the Faculty of Political Sciences Banja Luka, one of the leading youth organisations in the region.

He is also heads the EU Café, a political café, which allowed the students of the University of Banja Luka to meet ambassadors of the countries of the European Union, as well as members of the European Parliament. He organized several youth summits and conferences in the region.

In 2013, as editor in chief, he established the youth newspaper "Studentski žurnal" (Eng. "Student Journal") which is under the auspices of the National Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina for UNESCO as a regional youth magazine.

In 2014, he launched the project „Student's Model United Nations“, an international student conference which was under the direct patronage of UNESCO during 2016, making this student conference unique in the world. He published several papers on sociology in Central and Eastern Europe after the fall of the Berlin Wall, as well as papers in the field of ecological safety. He is one of the editors of the book "Globalna imperija zla" (Eng. "Global Empire of Evil") and "Izvoz revolucija" (Eng. "Export of Revolutions"), the publisher and editor of the book "Politička kultura, dijalog i tolerancija u BiH" (Eng. Political Culture, Dialogue and Tolerance in Bosnia and Herzegovina"). He is the editor and researcher of the publication "Nezaposlenost i migracija mladih talenata iz Republike Srpske" (Eng. Unemployment and Migration of Young Talents from the Republic of Srpska").

He is currently working on the realization of the project "Eco Students", aimed at strengthening ecological awareness among students and youth with special emphasis on the protection and importance of water. The project is implemented in cooperation with the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund, UN-Water and the City of Banja Luka.

Because of his social engagement, he has been rewarded several times and is the holder of numerous awards and recognitions. In his free time, he engages in photography and numismatics. He speaks English and uses Russian and Spanish.
