Samir Shalabi, tourismologyst, system administrator, translator and President of the Swiss charity BorderFree Association in Serbia was born in a prominent Middle East family in Syria. As a someone with Syrian-Serbian roots, Samir is regarded as one of the best young experts in history, culture, social and religious relations in Syria, Lebanon, Jordan and Egypt. As such, he is dedicated to building bridges, multiculturalism and understanding between people from MENA and Europe.
After many years of work as the leading IT system administrator for Souccar for Electronic Industrias and Arab Revival Club, Samir moved to the Secretariat of the Arab Union in Damascus. After war started in Syria, Samir went to Egypt to become in a short period of time one of the leading young tourismologists.
Parallel with tourismology, he is engaged as cultural mediator in international organization ADRA. With BorderFree Association he managed to build four schools for migrant children from Syria in Greece and Serbia, free mobile dental clinic, house for unaccompanied minors from the Middle East in Loznica, Serbia.
Samir holds numerous awards for humanitarian work and is a member of Rotary Club Belgrade's Old Town.
Samir whos life is dedicated to strugle for peace, co-existence and understanding among people under the slogan "We are all One", is constantly traveling between Balkan states, Egypt, Lebanon and Syria, trying to help were needs are, constantly spreading on charismatic way „ brothers chain“ of love, cooperation and peace.
He speaks fluently Arabic, English and Serbian, and is father of one child.
