UAE - Serbia CEPA Agreement
The Agreement is expected to boost cooperation significantly
UAE has signed Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreements (CEPAs) with countries around the world. Every agreement offers mutually beneficial conditions and opportunities to expand trade between nations. Serbia is among 10 countries with whom UAE has active CEPA (11 more countries in the pipeline).
The UAE-Serbia Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement is expected to significantly boost trade, investment, and economic cooperation between the two countries. The agreement aims to eliminate or reduce customs duties on a wide range of products, enhance market access, and foster collaboration in key sectors like renewable energy, agriculture, logistics, and technology. CEPA is anticipated to lead to increased bilateral trade (diversification of trade, non-oil trade to reach 500M USD over next 5 years, reduce customs duties on over 96% of tariff lines), greater foreign direct investment, and a stronger overall economic partnership.
In the format of
Serbian Business Council chairman, I have had a privilege to attend the CEPA workshop organized by
Dubai Chamber of Commerce and UAE Ministry of Foreign Trade. Presence of numerous Serbian Business Council members (
Ana Stanisic Aleksandra Brankovic , BPR, MPS, DBA - Milenko Bujandric Nikola (Nik) D. Momcilo Mihajlovic and others) is also sign of our dedication and commitment to further growth of partner relations between Serbian and Emirati economies and people.
Thankful to visionary leadership and committed work of
Dr. Thani Al Zeyoudi and Serbian team led by
Jagoda Lazarevic for making this CEPA possible!
p.s. Always good to meet dear colleagues from other business groups and councils under the umbrella of Dubai Chambers (thanks
Olena Shyrokova and
Maciej Bialko, MBA for the photos).
Stay tuned for more news!
